New Adoption Session:
GEDT works with many local animal shelters and rescues, and specializes in working with these dogs both in the shelter environment and in a new home environment. GEDT provides temperament assessments, and training and behavior modification for many common issues that shelter and rescue dogs can have in a new home environment. It is very common for new dog owners to experience issues, challenges and struggles shortly after bringing a new dog home. New adoption sessions are to help with the acclimation process for both you and your dog including what to expect, tools to help with the transition, and training to help reduce stress and modify problem behaviors. Please reach out to a trainer before you consider returning a dog back to a shelter or rescue! Remember - the first 30 days that a dog is in a new home is a decompression period due to the stress of being in a new environment.

In-Home Obedience Training Program: (available March-October only)
Many people have busy schedules and find it difficult to commit to off-site group training classes. In-home training provides flexibility with scheduling training sessions, and allows your dog to remain in the comfort of his/her own home - reducing stress and distractions!
6-Week Basic Obedience Training Program: $280
(Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old and fully vaccinated)
Please Note: Training Sessions are 1 hour per week
In-Home Problem Solving:
Many dog owners experience some behavioral issues throughout the course of their dog's lives. Most of the time, these behaviors can be easily corrected with training and behavior modification. Before seeking professional dog training services for problem behaviors, it's important to rule out any health issues by visiting your veterinarian!
Leadership training and exercises are included in all problem solving and obedience sessions. One of the most common mistakes dog owners make is not establishing appropriate rules and boundaries, allowing their precious pup to rule the household. Often times this can lead to many different behavioral issues including aggression. Proper leadership is the critical foundation of our relationship with our dogs. Leadership training teaches you how to be a calm, assertive, consistent, non-confrontational leader from your dog's perspective. Implementing proper leadership helps to prevent behavioral issues, and it's the first step in modifying existing behavioral issues.
Problem Solving services include, but are not limited to:
Barking Counter Surfing
Pulling on leash Hyperactivity
House Training Obedience Issues
Aggression Digging
Jumping Shy / Anxious / Fearful
Nipping / Biting Destructive Chewing
Problem Solving Session: $100
Subsequent Sessions: $80 each (follow up sessions are generally not needed)

In-Home Aggression Counseling Session:
Dog aggression can be a very scary and serious issue. There are many things that can contribute to aggression in dogs. During our counseling session, we assess your dog's behavior to determine what may be causing the aggression, teach effective leadership, and discuss a treatment plan.
Aggression Counseling Session: $100
Subsequent Sessions: $80 each
Please Note: Counseling sessions last anywhere between 1-3 hours
